2007 will mark the third time we bring the Natural Family Fair to Calgary, creating a marketplace for natural family living products and services, a place where concerned consumers and conscientious entrepreneurs can come together to share resources, make connections and change the world.

In 2005, we asked Calgary families to imagine a fair at which they could learn about natural child-raising practices, environmentally friendly products, complementary therapies and whole foods. The response to this inaugural fair was tremendous. In 2006, attendance had doubled, as more people came out to meet our carefully selected 65 vendors who promote Natural Family Living in Calgary and area.

This year, we are extending the fair to two days, allowing interested families more time and opportunity to connect with committed local entrepreneurs. As part of our ongoing goal of promoting sustainable, natural and environmentally responsible practices to the Calgary community, the fair will feature speakers on topics such as chemicals in foods, meats and the home, and natural therapies.

We look forward to offering families more entertainment, including two performances by the famous Peter Puffin. The children's play area, complete with fabulous face painting, coloring tables, books from the Public library, little kids play area,jumping tent and plasma car area will be back, as will a gourmet kitchen offering healthy food and beverages.

Our emphasis for 2007 is to inform the Calgary community about the wealth of sustainable products, natural therapies, and environmentally and ethically responsible foods and products provided by local vendors, who are as concerned as the families they serve about building a sustainable Calgary and world for ourselves and our children.
